Eastern Kentucky University initiated the Jump Start Program during Fall 2000 for high school seniors who have an interest in taking college-level course work while still enrolled in high school. Jump Start courses are open to any high school senior in Eastern Kentucky University's service region. Students may enroll in courses at any EKU campus site including Richmond, Manchester, Corbin and Danville. Applicants must submit an EKU application form and a Jump Start Recommendation Form to be eligible to participate in the Jump Start Program. Applicants must be in good academic standing with their high school and submit ACT scores to the EKU Office of Admissions in order to participate in the Jump Start Program. Tuition is waived for students participating in the Jump Start Program. Students are only responsible for the cost of textbooks, EKU parking permit, and any associated course fees. Students interested in the Jump Start Program should consult the Admissions Office at (859) 622-2106 for more information.
